Lox & Chain
Till Death is Lox & Chain's wedding capsule, a small collection of bands, signets and chains designed to be worn for the rest of your life. Rather than photographing couples or rings on fingers, we wanted to tell a love story through what is left behind, so the whole campaign revolves around a single striped workshirt hanging alone in an empty studio, as if its owner had just stepped out of the room.
We photographed the shirt, the hanger and the chain from every angle over the course of one day, following the light as it moved across the studio from morning to evening. The jewellery appears almost by accident, caught on a button, resting in a pocket, hanging from the rail. The tone is quiet, a little dark and very romantic, closer to a short film than to a product campaign, and the series was released together with a handwritten letter from the designers explaining why they wanted a wedding collection that felt more like a promise than a celebration.
