Lox & Chain
Tutto Passa means everything passes, and the series is built around that idea. It is a quiet still life project for Lox & Chain made of very few elements: a worn leather glove, a handful of silver rings and a heavy chain wrapped tightly around the wrist. Instead of presenting the jewellery as something new and untouched, we wanted to show it the way it really lives, scratched, used and carried every day, slowly taking on the shape of the person who wears it.
Everything was shot with natural light against plain white walls, with no props beyond the pieces themselves. We spent a long time on the gestures of the glove, open, closed, resting, holding, because the hand had to feel present even though nobody is in the frame. The tones were kept soft and slightly warm so that the black leather and the polished silver would carry all the contrast. The campaign ran across print and social, and a small edition of the images was turned into a printed booklet that comes with every order from the collection.
