Heimat
Searching for Home follows Heimat's new collection through the rooms of a half-empty apartment in Madrid, photographed the week before the owner moved out. Boxes were already packed, the walls were bare and the furniture was gone, so the clothes ended up hanging where the sofa, the bookshelves and the bed used to be. That absence became the starting point of the story: garments as the last familiar thing in a place that is about to stop being yours.
Each frame works like a memory of a space that is disappearing: soft grey light coming through the windows, marks on the floor where things used to stand, a shirt hung from a curtain rail as if someone had just taken it off. We kept the styling deliberately simple and let the architecture do the work. The result sits somewhere between a lookbook and a diary, and Heimat released it as a long scrolling story on their site, accompanied by short texts written by the people who had lived in the apartment.
